The City of Norfolk, Virginia is a vibrant center of the Hampton Roads area. With 241,000 residents, Norfolk is a distinguished cultural, educational, business, and medical hub for Southeast Virginia. It has direct access to the major interstates of Southeast Virginia, including I-64, I-264, and I-664. Norfolk was founded in 1682 and maintains a strong relationship with the sea, and has served as a major port for over 300 years. In addition, Norfolk maintains a very strong tie with the military, housing the Navy's Atlantic fleet.
